Originally built to showcase wood as an interior finish material, the new owners wanted to lighten the feel of the living areas through the removal of the heavy planks and the addition of a rich hand-plastered finish. They also desired to customize other aspects of the home to better suit their life-style. In collaboration with kcs Designs, THB undertook an extensive demolition and subsequent re-building of essentially the entire interior of this home. The process of effecting these changes brought about the need to revise and update the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems in the home as well. The result is a completely renovated home with a few added features (like an outdoor pizza oven) that epitomizes that place where peace and comfort intersect.
